Since the New Year 2007 the
history of KAROSA brand changed forever. The rich and interesting history of the 20th century's automobile industry icon are taking a completely new direction. It is not long time ago as we have asked why the well-known "K" has been changed to Dolphin and now a new, more visible change is here - a change that has destroyed a tradition longer than 100 years long.
Lots of fans of KAROSA might have dropped a tear from their cheeks and have asked WHY? The answer is simple - marketing expenses downsizing. Because of the acquisition (and requests by European Commission) - Renault passed KAROSA to its partner in the IRISBUS consorcium - italian producer IVECO and it was IVECO that decided to change the brand. The czech managment remains but the brand (it seems) dissappeared forever...
And what is the result of the change?
